Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. Michelle is currently a doctoral student in Cell Biology at Duke University and Andrew is the Director of Liturgy and Catechumenate at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. And the newest member of our household is our 7 month old daughter, Miriam. We have been gradually building up our sustainable farm and developing a neo-monastic community. At our virtual home on the internet you can find our blog (News), papers written for classes, pictures from our vacations, some computer tools I have developed, and other random balderdash you have come to expect on personal websites. Although the site is always undergoing some sort of modification, you should be able to navigate through what I hope you find a well organized collection of electronic sundries using the menus at left. Again, thank you for visiting.
Pax,
Andrew and Michelle Casad |

For those interested in the technical aspects of this website, I designed it using Adobe Photoshop CS and ImageReady on a Macintosh G4 PowerBook. If you care about any of this, you have probably already noticed that the pages are developed in PHP. I have made every attempt to make the pages universally accessible, XHTML compliant, as well as reliant on CSS. The site is hosted on our 600MHz G3 iMac running OS 10.4, which I have named edoras after the capital of my favorite culture from Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. Webservices are provided entirely by Open Source resources, including the Apache HTTP Server, PHP 5, MySQL Database Server, WordPress for our blog, Gallery for our images, and ImageMagick, NetPBM, the gd2 Graphics Library, and jhead for image manipulation. Thank you to the developers of this software as well as those who helped me in muddling through as I endeavored to put all this software to good use.
