We are just beginning our small farming venture in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Our goal is to have an integrated biointensive vegetable garden, fruit orchard, and pasture-raised livestock herds. At present we have three Jacob Sheep, a small number of rabbits, and free-range chickens; we hope to soon be adding Pineywoods Cattle. Both Jacob Sheep and Pineywoods Cattle are heritage breeds recognized by the ALBC. No hormones or chemicals are added to any of our animals.
