Handbells
Michelle was a member of the University of Notre Dame Handbell Choir that plays at Sacred Heart Basilica. The Handbell Choir has had a very busy Spring 2003 semester, completing a tour near Detroit and also completed a recording, Echoes of Joy, available through World Library Publications.
Piano
All the work Michelle has put into the piano has finally paid off, literally. She was hired to play the piano for Sunday Masses at All Hallows Catholic Church for the Advent and Christmas seasons, 2003-2004. This was an exciting opportunity to play some new Christmas music, especially Mary Did You Know?, as well as to get back into the routine of practicing regularly.
While at Notre Dame, Michelle played the piano for the Fischer-O'Hara-Grace Graduate Student Campus Ministry at the University of Notre Dame for two years. As an undergraduate, Michelle completed a Music Minor in performance, including three quarters of Chamber Music Ensemble while at University of California, San Diego. During this time, Michelle played pieces by Schubert, César Cui, and Vivaldi, including a performance on a harpsichord.
While in high school, Michelle participated in the Music Teachers Association of California Certificate of Merit program. She completed the Advanced Level Exam during her sophomore year, and played at several MTAC State conferences. During her senior year she was selected to play Barber's Excursion as a panelist. Michelle also completed the Advanced Placement Exam in Music, receiving a 4.

Although I cannot play any instruments, I also consider music a hobby of mine. I enjoy listening to a wide variety of music, mostly Celtic folk music; Trance, Techno and European dance music; music from Bollywood films, Desi, and Bhangra; anything by The Cranberries, The Beatles, and Bob Marley and the Wailers; most ska; and Chant (Gregorian and other Western Christian, Syriac, Ethiopic and other Eastern Christian, and Islamic).
When I figure out how to have link the local program to my server, below will be an image showing the current song playing on my iTunes.
